Obama on Global Warming

When he was preparing for them during the Democratic primaries, Obama was recorded saying, “I don’t consider this to be a good format for me, which makes me more cautious. I often find myself trapped by the questions and thinking to myself, ‘You know, this is a stupid question, but let me … answer it.’ So when Brian Williams is asking me about what’s a personal thing that you’ve done [that’s green], and I say, you know, ‘Well, I planted a bunch of trees.’ And he says, ‘I’m talking about personal.’ What I’m thinking in my head is, ‘Well, the truth is, Brian, we can’t solve global warming because I f—-ing changed light bulbs in my house. It’s because of something collective’.”

WII Emulation apps - WII64
Get Behind The Shield
[info]uksurvivor
I emailed tehpola regarding an issue I had with the WII64 emulator.   I load it from the SD card and then poof!

=======================
I have a screen shot of a dump I get every time I try and load the Wii64 N64 Emulator.  I see the opening splash screen,  the graphiti style WII64 logo and then core dump!

WII Core Dump

Also, I have the NES and SNES emu's working great through the homebrew,  I switched from loading from an SMB share for speed reasons to DVD,  I don't know whether WII64 has this issue but because I have a DVD with a file structure of:

/--
...!_NESROMS
...!_SNESROMS
...!_N64ROMS

I would like to be able to use WII64 to browse the DVD and choose the ROM I want to load from N64ROMS,  the reason I raise this is that the FCEUltra NES emulator will not read the DVD,  it simple says no games found,  I am resuming its looking for roms in the foot dire of the DVD.  The SNES emulator lets be browse the DVD file structure superbly.  Ill be emailing the FCEUltra developer about this in a second.

Thanks for listening,  I guess I should put my current WII version,  I'm in Canada and am on version 3.4U on the WII and have a 512MB SD card with over 400MB free if that's relevant/useful.

Thanks,
Rob Turner

Mammoth tusk found on beach

A 30-centimetre piece of mammoth tusk was found at Island View beach in Central Saanich this morning. Found in slide debris, the discovery was made by Grant Keddie, the Royal B.C. museum's curator of archeology. Keddie guessed the tusk to be at least 17,000 years old, when the elephant-like creatures last... more

Unusual Things to Teach Your Body

1. If your throat tickles, scratch your ear. When you were 9, playing your armpit was a cool trick. Now, as an adult, you can still appreciate a good body-based feat, but you’re more discriminating. Take that tickle in your throat; it’s not worth gagging over. Here’s a better way to scratch your itch: “When the nerves in the ear are stimulated, it creates a reflex in the throat that can cause a muscle spasm,” says Scott Schaffer, M.D., president of an ear, nose and throat specialty center in Gibbsboro, New Jersey. “This spasm relieves the tickle.”
